DescriptionEven more elaborately decorated than the tzute collected by Alfred Barton also on display in this gallery, this man's headdress is made of typical red cotton with multi-colored brocade and tassels on each corner. The design has become even more abstract but elements of the double-headed bird can be found as well as star symbols. Tzutes from Chichicastenango are very popular with collectors and can be found in many private collections.
