    DescriptionThis naturalistic cloven llama hoof stirrup-spout bottle probably represents the foot of a llama, a beast of burden and source of wool. Appearing at the base of the spout is the characteristic step symbol which represents terracing, and is an emblem of pyramids, a symbol of royal authority. The Chimu resided on the desert coast of Northern Peru, and so had engineered an aqueduct system to transport water from the mountains.
