DescriptionThis figure is shown with an elaborate costume, possibly composed of padding but more likely feathers. There is a long tradition of anthropomorphic representations in Jama-Coaque art including the depiction of bird-men. Bird-men figures were also common to the Veracruz cultures in Mexico.
