    DescriptionAkan stools have spiritual significance as well as practical use. The stool absorbs the spirit of the owner throughout his or her lifetime. It is tipped on its side or tilted against a wall when not in use so no one else, not even a malevolent spirit, can sit on it. This stool shows a fine natural honey-colored patina produced by much daily use.
