Description"The men who lived in this house went to work in a dark morning sky, and came back to sleep in the dark. None had time, or energy, for books or flowers. Bible verses were remembered out loud and often. Six of the men cut the trees here. One, the cook, had the chain gang marks on his ankles after ten years as a free man. Hard work was not strange to this group. GOOD whiskey WAS!" -- Beverly Buchanan, 1993
